So what are your individual goals in the months and years to come?
Hanne:”Hard to say. I think it’s clear that I am growing as a player, finding more confidence on and off the pitch. I am becoming more constant in my performances, but still I know I can do better. Coaches like to work players they can always count on, like my sister. So becoming a player like that is my focus. Luckily, I have two advantages. I am a quick learner and of course it helps to be part of a family that is all about basketball.”
Kim:”The next chapter of my career has started. I have found a new team, and a new challenge at Yakin Dogus, where I will play alongside Ann. The Turkish competition is great, I will be competing with high level players. This is my moment of truth I guess. Can I prove my worth in such a team? I hope I can and I believe I will.”
This is your first year with Atticus? How is it working out for both of you?
Hanne:”Wow, I’d say the difference with the past is huge for me. I wasn’t used to a personal approach. There is a lot of communication going on between Atticus and myself. Everything is crystal clear all of the time, which is sooo nice. On top of that I have noticed that you are quite tough negotiators when it comes to contracts. I needed that in my life (laughs).”
Kim:”I would say I have a relationship based on trust with Atticus agent Julie Rumes. She is very down to earth and she wants to know everything at all times. As soon as you have a problem to deal with, she will be on top of things. Whether it is personal or just a practical issue, she always makes sure you can focus on your job. You can see that she has lived a pro sports career herself. She has been there, she knows the ins and outs. Ann Wauters and her will be a golden team to work with in the years to come.”
